The depth of your research and precision in your writing is appreciated. You mentioned “fossil fuels” in your current article. Most people wrongly assume oil to be a fossil fuel. Myself, as a “boomer” was misled into believing oil was derived from the remains of dead dinosaurs - (Sinclair Oil even adopted a dinosaur as a logo to lock in the myth.)

Colonel, as you are obviously intellectually curious - you may already be familiar with the knowledge that Russia produced in the last century and termed “abiotic oil.” Turns out this misidentified “fossil fuel” is made by the earth at a great depth and due to tremendous heat, pressure, centrifugal forces oil is “sweat” from basalt are is spun toward the surface where it collects in pools beneath rock formations that form pockets. Russia understood the true nature of oil and knew it could be found at greater depths than drillers in the U.S. would attempt. Hence they are leading producers due to a strategy of “going deep.” If this is new to you, first, I’d be surprised. However, my guess would be over 97% of the population is duped by the limited (or “finite”) implication of oil being a fossil fuel when it is not.

You're correct. It isn't a fossil fuel. I used the term they were using and should have properly identified the misnomer. Thank you for pointing it out.
